TMCA Admissions Process

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your child in The
Master’s Christian Academy. Please be sure to contact
the school office if you have any questions as you go through
the admissions process.

Our admission process proceeds as follows:

1)  A Christian family determines that it is the Lord’s desire for them
to pursue Christian education for their child, and that TMCA is a
school that they would like to see their child attend.

2)  The family contacts TMCA to express their interest. An initial
interview is set up with the parents.

3)  The initial interview takes place. The purpose of this meeting is for
the school and family to become acquainted, and to determine if
there is like-mindedness between the school and parent on subjects
such as core beliefs, approach to education, etc.

4)  An application packet is given to the family. The family completes all
required forms and submits them back to the TMCA office with the
application fee. If a family receives the application packet without
yet having the initial interview, they must contact the school
immediately to set up a meeting date. Applications will not be
considered if the initial interview is not completed, or if required
     forms are not received.

5)  The completed application is reviewed by the admissions committee
only when all forms are completed and references have been
received.  The family is then asked to come in for a second admissions
interview with the potential student present. At this time any
remaining questions are addressed, and the expectations of school
families and students are reviewed. Any other required screening is
     done at this point.

6)  The admissions committee makes a recommendation to the school
board on whether or not to offer admission to this family. The school
board has the final say in determining who gets admitted.

7)  The school notifies the family by letter on the board’s decision. If
admitted, additional information is sent to prepare for the coming
school year. If offered admission, an initial tuition deposit is required
in order to hold the place.
